The symbolic home

A symbolic experience is, in its essence, a systemic experience of reality.

The symbolic home concept is at the origin of all my work, substantiating and guiding my life experience. An attentive result of an integral presence in life. A sincere experience of the natural processes of life and the place they occupy.

It is a perspective as old as it is new, as complex as it is simple. It represents a movement of diving into the textures of the world, into its metaphors and meanings. From the outside, it may seem abstract or simplistic. It is neither. I will explore what underlies this half-way integration with the reality of things.

We are multiple beings, magnetic, electrical, energetic, mental, emotional, and sensory, all of this well incorporated in our biology, in our body. We are also symbolic beings of metaphors, stories, and myths. We interact from the start with our context, reading it, listening to it, feeling it.

We participate actively in the reality of things using all these tools and visceral need for connection. We relate to the currents of consciousness and wisdom surrounding us, catching the flow of things and manifesting solutions. We are cosmic wisdom in movement.

A symbolic experience is, in its essence, a systemic experience of reality. A symbol is always connected to another layer, another thing, or dimension of creation. So when we work with symbols, using them actively and intentionally, we operate in the threads of energy that interrelate matter, ideas, and things. The symbols move these threads of the network of consciousness and systemic wisdom that surrounds and sustains us and to which we belong unconditionally. Symbols are keys to transmutation and change. They are encoders of the integral and ancestral memory of the cosmos.

We rescue the home concept and experience in this rich cosmological context, the cosmos-earth-home, the community-home, and individual-home.

The home becomes a talisman that unites everything. All these homes are interconnected. The individual-home is never separated from the cosmos-earth-home. Everything is related. So, the symbolic home takes us to a dimension beyond the veil of materiality, beyond a causal or reductive experience of reality. The symbolic home, which houses the body, is a manifesto of presence, responsibility, and action. It functions as a portal for the rescue of ancestral wisdom and its adaptation to modern urgent needs.

The symbolic home functions as a transition threshold between a monolithic experience of selfish needs and a diverse and deep immersion in systemic wisdom. We surrender to responsible and integrated participation in the grand scheme of things.

The symbolic home reminds us of who we are and of the urgency of remembering. The symbolic home refers us to an enchanted vision of the world.

I learn and honor this ancient experience through the principles of feng shui, rooted indigenous knowledge, permaculture, and ecopsychology. I am working on remembering the fundamental, complex, and ancient connection between our inner and outer mythical landscapes.
